Ela foi fundada pelo Sagrado Emmanuel I, em 1958. Ele veio ao mundo sem pai nem mãe, em 1915, já adulto, foi o Primeiro Original Rastaman.Mundo Subterrâneo

Veio da cidade inatingível de Shamballa, de onde o Rei do Mundo, Melquisedec, reina, muitos defendem que a mesma é no Mundo Subterrâneo.
Seu nome completo é "Emmanuel Charles Edwards".Ele foi um dos seres mais enigmáticos que pisou na Jamaica.Ele foi um renomado Elder e se encontrou com o próprio Selassie I na Jamaica em 1966.Selassie deu à Emmanuel uma missão.Emmanuel fundou o Congresso na Jamaica, muitos o seguiram, Emmanuel continuou na cabeça do congresso até sua suposta morte em 1994.Dizem que ele foi crucificado pelos seguidores, para assim passar uma lição, mas ele logo voltou na forma de "Priest Shanty Tafari"(na verdade, um avatar de Emmanuel) que hoje está comandando o congresso.O Congresso é altamente popular em Ghana, Jamaica, Trinidad e Tobago e no Caribe em geral.

Portas de uma cidade:Vivem sob rígidas normas morais, guardam o Sabath(Sábado), só fazem o uso da Ganjah no sábado e de forma privada. Eles só trabalham com um tipo de negócio, a fabricação de Vassoura para serem vendidas nas cidades. Eles só fazem isso, mesmo tendo hábeis artezãos, só fazem isso, pois quando os judeus estavamo no exílio do Egito só faziam um tipo de comércio.

Burnin’ (1973) [2004 Deluxe Edition]

A moda Deluxe pegou e em 2004 foi lançado o Burnin Deluxe Edition. Disco de 73 mas em versão masterizada e com alguns extras, temos por exemplo versões de Opressed Song e Reincarnated Souls, músicas que Bunny Wailer lançaria mais tarde em seu excelente disco de estréia de 76, "Blackheart Man". Pra quem já conhece o Blackheart, é muito bom ouvir as músicas numa versão executada pelos Wailers.
Também temos No Simpathy, que peter Tosh também lançaria no seu LP de estréia, "Legalize It". O fato dessas músicas não terem entrado reforça a teoria de que Blackwell realmente queria limar Tosh e Bunny, e concentrar o foco em Bob Marley.
Mas a cereja do bolo dessa edição é o disco 2, registro de um show dos Wailers em Leeds, dia 23 de novembro de 73.
Com o trio Bob, Peter e Bunny, mais a cozinha dos irmãos Barret, Carlton e Aston, e o orgão Hammond e Clavinet Honher de Earl "Wire" Lindo, a sonoridade é muito crua e direta. Sem os acessórios que iriam marcar o resto da carreira de Marley (backings femininos, mais um tecladista, percussionistas e guitarristas americanos mais "profissionais"), o show retrata um época pré mainstream, quase de garagem.
Seja nas longas introduções, ou nas aceleradas de tempo de Carlton Barret, se nota uma inexperiência misturada com um vontade juvenil de quem está ainda começando e quer mostrar serviço, ainda mais nos primeiros shows na Inglaterra.
Bunny Wailer faz backings e percussão. Tosh se encarrega dos solos, coisa incomum. Ainda mais com fuzz/wha, numa sonoridade podre no bom sentido. Tosh, assim como Bob, era estritamente um guitarrista rítmico, na real.
O show tem um som muito bom, com uma ambiência excelente. E como logo depois Bunny saiu da banda, trata-se de um registro ao vivo raro. Acredito que o disco "ao vivo em estúdio" Talkin Blues tenha sido gravado pouco tempo depois, mas já com Joe Higgs no lugar de Bunny. Disc 1: Burnin’ Remastered

ALVIN "SEECO" PATTERSON

Antes dos The Wailers começarem a gravar, o percussionista jamaicano veterano Alvin "Seeco" Patterson foi o tutor musical do grupo vocal, especializado em ritmo. (Joe Higgs foi outro tutor do grupo, especializado em cantar, e harmonia). Seeco chegou aos the Wailers pela sua amizade com o produtor Clement Dodd. Ele tinha gravado algumas sessões para vários artistas no Studio One, de Dodd. Desde que começou a tocar com os Wailers, há longa data, ás vezes foi creditado com seu outro nome artístico, "Francisco 'Willie' Pep".
Em 1967, Seeco Patterson fez sua primeira gravação com os The Wailers, sua estréia como percussinista, na faixa "Lyrical Satyrical".
Seeco tinha sido um membro da Lord Flea's band e outros grupos de mento. Mais tarde, depois da saída de Peter e Bunny, Seeco tornou-se membro oficial como percussionista, substituindo Bunny, no instrumental do The Wailers, e partiçipou de todos os álbuns e shows de Bob oficiais, a partir do Natty Dread, de 1975. Por isso Seeco teve uma relação forte de amizade com Bob, que vinha de longa data, também Seeco era visitante frequente da casa de Bob em Hope Road.
Depois da morte de Bob, Seeco continuou na banda, agora denominada Wailers Band, com Junior Marvin como líder, partiçipou de gravaçoes de discos(Majestic Warriors)e turnês. Seeco tocou também com outros artistas de reggase jamaicanos. Durante uma turnê do The Wailers no Brasil, em 1990, em Curitiba, Seeco sofreu um aneurisma cerebral grave, quase faleceu, e teve que ser operado ás pressas. No show foi substituído pelo percussionista brasileiro Pepe.

Depois disso, retornou á banda, mas acabou saindo definitivamente, e agora se aposentou das atividades musicais, pelo menos profissionalmente, e vive em Kingston, Jamaica.

Moa Anbesa é uma banda de reggae roots tradicional (estilo surgido na Jamaica nos anos 70), com uma sonoridade bastante própria e influências vivas de Dub, Nyabinghi Drums, Ska, Rocksteady, Blues e Soul. Moa Anbesa - Leão Conquistador (Judá) em língua etíope, representa o som de uma nova geração de bandas de reggae surgidas em salvador no Brasil e no mundo nos últimos tempos.O grupo foi fundado por Ijahwel i’n’i, músico, cantor e compositor baiano, com o objetivo de dar continuidade ao seu trabalho iniciado com a sua banda “Seed Shall Grow” em 1992 na Alemanha.

"Songs Of Freedom" que tanto furor tinha feito aquando da primeira edição em 1992.Quatro discos e um livro completam esta meticulosa biografia humana e musical de um personagem que figurará para sempre na história da Música. Com uma abrangência quase completa dos diferentes períodos da carreira de Bob Marley, desde 1962 em que gravou "Judge Not" para a Beverley's Productions de Leslie Kong, até á sua última aparição pública em Pittsburgh, Pensylvania no Stanley Theatre em 23 de Setembro de 1980 com a carismática "Redemption Song", leva-me a afirmar sem qualquer margem para dúvida que se trata de um registo - IMPERDÌVEL.

TYRONE DOWNEY

Tyrone Downey nasceu em King Strett,Kingston,Jamaica,em 20 de maio de 1956,em casa..
O tecladista jamaicano Tyrone Downey é realmente um músico muito talentoso,de muitos recursos,toca órgão,claninete e piano.... O Dermot Hussey, o radiodifusor mais notável do reggae da rádio,encontrou-se com o tocador do teclado dos Wailers,Tyrone Downey,quando era ainda muito jovem,mesmo assim já tinha alguma estrada de música.Downey estava sentado no assoalho,relaxando do stress que tem sido seu trabalho na estrada,estúdios,tournés,etc... Sensível e imaginativo, Downey tinha sido o mascote dos Wailers, um protegido do Familyman,que o usou primeiramente em sessões quando Downey tinha apenas 12 anos,gravando uma música com Errol Dunkley..Com 13 anos se juntou á banda ´´The Hippy Boys´´.Gravou sua primeira música con Bob em 1969´´Lick Samba´´. Apelidado de “Jumpy” quando foi primeiramente na escola por causa de seu protótipo,onde estudou piano e teclado,e tinha como seu colega de aulas o Augustus Pablo,de quem se tornou amigo,e passaram a tocar juntos em alguns clubes noturnos...
Hussey ofereceu à Downey e sua namorada um trabalho, na esperança de gravar alguns ensaios, em sua maneira de fazer progressões,na sua mostra de rádio 8pm. “Eu estarei por trás,disse”.Estava no hábito na parada pelo número 56,enquanto Bob se estava aprontando para uma excursão,e enquanto os ensaios com Downey foram de nove na noite até duas na manhã, Hussey não teve nenhuma intenção de faltar nessa sessão de noite,com vibraçoes negativas ou não.
Gravando numerosos discos com Bob Marley,desde o ´´Natty Dread,de 1975,excursionando,etc,Tyrone continuou com o rei do reggae,até seu último trabalho,Uprising,de 1980..
Tyrone Downey também tocou com inúmeros outros artistas do reggae,entre eles Bunny Wailer,Big Youth e Rita Marley,e também,com outros Wailers,se juntou á banda de Peter Tosh,durante o primeiro disco solo de Tosh, Legalize It...
Depois da morte de Bob,Tyrone continuou tocando com o The Wailers,fez o vocal em algumas músicas,mas depois saiu e retornou,até abandonar a banda..
Atualmente Tyrone trabalha com outros artistas do reggae,e esteve um tempo tocando com a estrela africana Tiken Jah Fakoly..
