About the program ,, Les Enfants Du Rock (the childrens of rock) was aired on saturday night each week

Created by Pierre Lescure (founder of the french tv named Canal Plus), first one was aired 1982-01-07

As hosts Jean-Pierre Dionnet , Philippe Manœuvre (la nouvelle star),Patrice Blanc-Francard (who interviewed bob back in the 70's)
but also Jacky (Jacques Jakubowicz,who was in charge of bob marley and the wailers for France during the 70's)

For the knowledge, there was at that time no others program like this one, apart of one called 'platine 45' (1982-1986)

This program being now seen as cult, i do recall my slow poke watching it heh

The program was all about music, with various themes named like that : rockline,rock'n' roll graffiti,sex machine,houba houba

About the documentary by itself :

Starting with that amazing redemption song acoustic, then showing you an interview conducted by Patrice Blanc-Franquard
making you able to see the wailers live in paris threw short sequences, the whole concert being held in vault for so long.
The high point being the fan who came to stage , dancing with bob marley ..
The documentary featuring extract of 'rasta and the ball' (rasta et ballon rond) from Jean Pierre Jansen and P.Alessandrini
it's also showing part of the rainbow sequence (redemption song, exodus,stir it up)
the duration of the documentary being like more than 1:09 hour of pure viewing pleasure.

Recorded in London following an attempt on his life, Exodus shows Bob Marley mellowing a bit. Despite some powerful political tracks, Marley adopts a less fiery, more reflective approach than his previous outings. Still, it's hard to find reggae as good as this. Exodus has all one would expect from a Bob Marley album: rumbling statements like "Exodus" and "The Heathen" as well as poetic love songs like "Turn Your Lights Down Low." Considering how good these tracks are, Exodus does not stop here. Marley also unleashed the huge international hits "Jamming," "Waiting in Vain," and "One Love/People Get Ready." These inspired tracks, perhaps more than any others, came to define Marley around the world. They are irresistible no matter how many times they are played. Never one to dodge innovation, "Exodus" hints that Marley was taking cues from the emerging dub scene. Exodus, even though it contains some of Marley's best work, has an underlying nostalgic feel to it, hinting that Marley was getting a little formulaic. 18 de abril de 1980. aconteceu o momento mais importante da carreira de Bob Marley: o show que comemorou a independência do Zimbabwe (antiga Rodesia) do jugo colonial britânico, conseguida após uma luta sangrenta de libertação empreendida pelos guerrilheiros da ZANU. Esta guerra durou vários anos e teve como um de seus hinos principais a canção 'Zimbabwe', do mestre Marley. Hoje em dia circulam versões de que Marley inclusive teria conseguido armas para os rebeldes, que eram acossados tanto pelas forças rodesianas quanto pelas do então regime racista da Africa do Sul. Quando ficou claro que os guerrilheiros não se renderiam, foi feito um acordo que daria a independência ao país (que se tornaria membro da Comunidade Britânica de nações) em troca da retirada pacífica dos ingleses que residiam lá. A oficialização do tratado seria feita em uma grande cerimônia em que o Principe Charles representaria o antigo Imperio Britånico e acabaria com uma apresentação de Bob Marley e os Wailers.

Segundo a americana Dera Thompson, que esteve com os Wailers nesse dia e deu um depoimento emocionado para a revista The Beat: "Nós choramos e sorrimos e todos no estádio gritavam e cantavam. Era como se dissessem, nós vencemos, o Zimbabwe é nosso de novo! Não podíamos acreditar que era verdade. Depois houve 21 salvas de canhão, e nós a sentimos, 21! E esse foi o maior momento, o maior momento de nossas vidas."
