Peter Tosh Live at the Jamaican Music Fest 1982 [LIVE] [2002]

Peter Tosh's performance at the Jamaica World Music Festival in the Fall of 1982 is one of his finest performances, perhaps even surpassing his legendary show on "Complete Captured Live" recorded a year later at the Greek Theater in L.A. during the "Mama Africa" tour. Each song is astounding, but the thick, strong, slower rendition of "Coming In Hot" and the the rendition of "Get Up, Stand Up" clearly stand above the rest.

Perhaps most memorable about this show, however, were Tosh's moving speaches to the crowd, showing his integrity, strength, religiosity, and Humanity unlike some regular preacher, speaking about ganja, reincarnation, injustice, his own strengths, and his place alongside the common, oppressed citizens of the World. Truly, Peter's way with words earned him a special place in the pages of musical, sociopolitical, and spiritual history. Both speeches contain an instrumental backing mixed in by Karl Pitterson before the album's release in 2002. In closing, this was a concert for the ages, and cannot afford to be missed by any Tosh fan, reggae fan, or well-rounded music fan. I can guarentee you will not be disappointed.

Você se lembra, eles mixaram o álbum e "I & I" não gostei da mixagem e todos disseram: "Livre-se dele". E Chris Blackwell me apoiou e Bob me apoiu e nós remixamos o álbum gastando 60.000 libras, o que seria quase 100.000 dólares. E Bob aproveitou essa chance e o disco se tornou um sucesso na hora, ficado nas paradas inglesas por mais de dois anos. Então me orgulho muito de a) ter falado a verdade sobre o que sentia e b) por isso ter compensado, graças a Deus.

Não há dúvida sobre o fato de que Bob Marley é o artista do século 20. Não há nenhuma dúvida quanto a isso! Ele tirou toda a sua inspiração da Bíblia e disse uma vez que quando se é jovem deve-se procurar Deus. Porque quando você envelhecer Ele tomará conta de você.
